Day 1 Please join me in this prayer for Jonathan that God may free him from any burden of sin and prepare a place for him in heaven. The dead cannot pray for themselves anymore, but we the living can pray for them for the purification of their souls; and they, in turn, can intercede for us. Praying for our dead is important and valuable, as are good works done on their behalf. May we encourage one another and pray for one another as we run the race to the final victory of Christ’s love at the end of time. “Lord, God our Father, we offer this novena prayer for our beloved Jonathan, who has departed from this world and now returns to You. O Lord, in Your mercy welcome him into Your heavenly kingdom. He has gone to his rest. Now, he hopes to rise with You. O Lord, in Your encompassing love, bring him into the light of Your Divine Presence. Amen." Our Father, Hail Mary, Eternal Rest grant unto...
