Day 10 - Golf, Downtown and Hollywood Studios plus - TopicsExpress

Day 10 - Golf, Downtown and Hollywood Studios plus Shopping Well, I woke at 6.45am, then dropped off again and eventually got up at 8.30am. Left the rest but they eventually rise from theirs slumbers just before 9am. Decided on a quiet start to the day. So skipped brekkie and headed to DTD. Parking a bit of a bugger these days but loads of spaces at 10.10am! Went to House of Blues to see the Virgin Rep. Got some more early entry tickets for Universal for later in the holiday. Stopped at Starbucks for breakfast coffees and cakes for some!. Disappointed with DTD with all the works going on but will be good when finished and will be known as Disney Springs. Golf next and tee time at Fantasia Gardens at 11.56am. Now we do get on as a family but the competitive streaks come out in us all. Played and got caught in a rain shower, but I managed to sneak victory in the poor finishing conditions with no cheating either ;) Back to DTD and went to Disney Quest for a couple of hours. Then went for late lunch, decisions were made and Jo and Laura went to Olive Gardens and Tom and I went to Dennys. OMG, double cheeseburgers......good but too much, again. Quick trip to Walmart after dropping Tom off at the hotel then met back up with Tom and off to MGM. Thunder and lightning about right overhead with persistent showers that Peter Kaye is always on about. Paid $17 to park at 6.15pm which is disappointing for late on in the day. FP at RRC which was great again. Then queued for 40 min for GMR. Rain, rain, go away.....once again. Still busy at 7.30pm due to the Frozen shows. Rain then stopped and we went on a space trip with Star Tours, and in space, no one can hear you scream (film). Made our way to fantasmic but only standing room so gave it a miss. Me and Tom did Tower of Terror. Jo and Laura did Muppets and we hung around for the Frozen show. WOW, now I love Wishes and Illuminations of Earth and this is up there with them. Goose bumps the lot. It snowed on the street as we left the park! Steak n Shake on the way back for a milkshake and this is our first visit there - tip - if u havent been, GO! Best shakes ever. Back at hotel at 11.15pm and found we were locked out of room. Bolt on inside must of moved across - spoke with the hotel receptionist, who wasnt that helpful and lent me a bit of Harry Potter cardboard and a plastic menu and at 12.05am, me, AKA, The Pink Panther, broke into our own room! Eventful end to a fairly quiet day. TTFN Paul xxx BTW, Half way day of holiday tomorrow! 😱
