Day 10 Monday, January 20 ,2014 “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need. Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means Son of Encouragement), sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles.” Acts 4:32-37 If you’ve been a Christian as long as I have perhaps you anxiously await an anticipated great revival. You desire for a great outpouring of the Holy Ghost for many people to receive Jesus in their hearts. But revival doesn’t come without a cost. The elements have to be in place, then God will pour out of His Spirit. Revival and generosity are linked. You see, revival cannot come without a culture of generosity and unity of heart. You may dream of a great move of God in your life; you may even earnestly desire the power of God to transform your city. We will see this power and revival that we dream of until a generous church rises up. Generosity and revival go hand in hand. You can’t have one without the other. When your spirit is transformed into a generous one, then revival will begin. When you and your brethren have united in sharing everything you have, especially Jesus, then revival has begun. If you truly desire transformation, if you honestly desire revelation power, if you are sincerely desperate to see the Glory of God in your life, then pray that God fills you with generosity.
