Hey guys. Been really busy and have not had chance to post of Facebook lately. But lets talk rail pressure. We have found that maintaining proper rail pressure is very important for a great running truck. Simply put, the higher the fuel rail pressure, the better the injector will atomize the fuel spray when its open and it will also allow the injector to move more fuel given a constant injection duration. With more pressure; we can shorten our durations, decrease injection timing advance, and get more from our current fuel injector nozzles. This all adds up to truck that runs better throughout the rpm range but especially better on the top end, runs cleaner, and runs cooler on the egts. Check this short clip out. With a little tuning adjustment, my truck has no trouble hitting the 27KSI of rail pressure. Next time you drive your truck watch your rail. If your rail falls below 23KSI, odds are you are just blowing smoke and you may need to adjust your tune.
