Day 15- Im thankful that there are brave people, willing to stand up in spite of ridicule, retaliation, and fears of the unknown. All of the huge fundamental shifts were started by a few brave people. As a teacher, I constantly hear a call for changes in education, not in teachers per se, but in the political, business oriented side of education and in the social aspects of which teachers do not have control. Yet so many in the field are afraid to speak up. Ruby was one of many who quietly and bravely changed education and society. May we learn by example.
