Day 15 of furlough Hi Ho Hi Ho its off to work I go. No wait, Im not getting paid. Hi Ho Hi Ho its off to indentured servitude I go. I probably should not have watched Face the Nation yesterday. One idiot actually said it doesnt matter if we reach the debt ceiling, we dont owe any money until the 30th, so if the bill isnt due, we cant default. I just know thats a lead in to keep this going until the end of October. These idiots cant agree on anything. Then the quotes from a few representatives who are getting paid about how they deserve it because they are working. REALLY???? Im just so disheartened by the entire thing. Do they have any clue on what they are doing to the psyche of millions of Americans. These are folks lives that are affected by idiotic bullying games. Oh well, off to work with a smile, because the kids that just lost parents deserve their benefits, the widower who lost his wife of 60 years is due a check, the stage 4 cancer patient who doesnt want to accept she has cancer needs to file for disability, the retiree who has worked all their life has a zillion questions about retirement needs some answers. And even though Im not getting paid, and am incredibly stressed, I and my coworkers will go in and do our best for the American public.
