Day 21. One more day under our belt. Tonight was a really pleasant evening. A dear friend, Roylene, brought in dinner for us, actually for two dinners! Thanks SO much! It was so yummy and I looked forward to it all day long knowing the evening meal was checked off of my to do list. John had two helpings! After dinner a neighbor friend stopped by to check in on John as well. He was the same dear one who mowed our front lawn a few days ago. Two checks off of my "to do" list. Thanks to you all for remembering us. It has really touched us both and we are so very appreciative. Pain is still a big factor for John so please continue to remember him with regard to this. We go back to the surgeon Friday so will see what he recommends. Also on a side note, I would ask for prayer for my Mother as she faces surgery Thursday. My dear sister, Cheryl, is flying in tomorrow to help with this as I am out of PTO to take off work to be there for them. Life continues to bring its challenges but we continue to remember that Jesus our Lord and Savior goes before us and will take us thru this storm. As I look back over my own life I can see how the Lord carried me many a time when I felt there was no hope left. God Bless you all, John N Jane •God hath not promised skies always blue, Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through; God hath not promised sun without rain, Joy without sorrow, peace without pain. •But God hath promised strength for the day, Rest for the labor, light for the way, Grace for the trials, help from above, Unfailing sympathy, undying love. •God hath not promised we shall not know Toil and temptation, trouble and woe; He hath not told us we shall not bear Many a burden, many a care. •God hath not promised smooth roads and wide, Swift, easy travel, needing no guide; Never a mountain, rocky and steep, Never a river, turbid and deep.
