Day 21. Today I made up for the past two days of inactivity by running the gnarliest, steepest, most technical race Ive ever seen. It was the inaugural running of Gary Robbins Coast Mountain Trail Series Sky Pilot. This beast eats Skyrunning courses for breakfast, spits them out and then eats the chewed up puke for lunch. Seriously folks, put this one on your calendar and come see us up in Squamish, Gary promised me it would be even tougher next year. For reference, it took me about 3:45 to finish the 18km course and I was solidly in the middle of the pack. Brutal, awesome day.
