Day 24 - Zack T Jenkins, I am thankful that God blessed me and Melanie with a wonderful son that we named Zackery Talon Jenkins. Born on May the 1st in 1995 he is now my 18 year old bouncing baby boy. Now I could wax nastalgic over those 18 years and how precious he is and the things that we have done together but I would never be able to count all the precious moments and enumerate what a blessing he is to me. He graduated from Southaven High School and is now attending Northwest Mississippi Community College with plans to be a teacher. He want to follow in the footsteps of his favorite teacher and dear friend Zelle Lee as a teacher of art. He was a cub scout that completed the program and received the highest honor a cub scout can get - the Arrow of Light. While it took a lot of work and effort he completed the Boy Scouts of Americas requirements to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. This coming Sunday on December 1st we will get to celebrate this accomplishment in his Eagle ceremony. Zack is also a bowler - following in his dads footsteps in that regart - he works hard to improve his game and has come a long way. I love the fact that my son has gentle heart, is a loyal friend and has a humble spirit. He has grown into a fine young man. Mostly I am thankful that he knows the Lord in a personal relationship and looks forward to serving Him and worshiping him by giving of his time and talents. Love you son and know that I thank God for you every day/
