Day #26: Rough Day at the Office It was a good morning. I prayed. I referred a friend to the missionaries in a different state on the Sabbath Day. I hope he is happy. I went to work in the rain. Then, the day didnt go as planned. I found myself in incident. I am imperfect. We make mistakes. When the mistake was done, I felt heartache. I was scared of the outcome. An 1 hr ago, I was listening to If I could Hie to Kolob, Praise to the Man, and I thought of the great prophet Joseph Smiths journey with the Saints. Today, on Monday, I felt close to him. I felt a reassurance in my heart that this man was a Prophet of God and at my incident I was honest with my team & fellow employees . I was honest today. Joseph Smith was an honest man. He was called of God. How do I know? I asked in Prayer. My ancestor who crossed the plains protected him. His name was Shadrach Roundy. Heavenly Father, I felt protected me because he knew that I needed to protect my family just as Joseph Smith protected the saints. As the Saints crossed the plains in the mid 1800s, my ancestors fought daily to survive. They built townships, built temples, ate on the land, and were persecuted by other countrymen all the way to their destination. There were no cars, buses, or planes, just handcarts, things on their back, homemade toys and their trusty steeds. They were trusting God through their day, they were trusting their prophet that god had chosen for them. They had their Mondays. So the question I have for you. Why does God give his toughest soldiers his toughest battles? Think about it. Ponder it. The Answer: Because He loves you and he know whats best on your troubled day, even on Monday. Good Things to come, right? Stay Positive and do me a favor, Share your Testimony this week. I am proud to be a Mormon. I am proud to inspire you. Keep the Faith and Put the Shoulder to the Wheel! I am a Modern Day Pioneer. - Brother Scriptures
