Day 36 Matthew Pittsinger Traumatic Brain Injury 8 days ago we were wondering if Matthew would be able to walk and be fully communicate again. He was able to say very few things and barely able to draw a line. Today he walked on his own for 100. Yesterday he took a 1.5 hour test for his cognitive skills and passed two out of three with normal results. Matthews spirit remains extremely positive. He is confident that he will return to Wazzu and resume his studies. He asked me to go pick up his books at school yesterday. It has been an incredible journey through the health care world( havent got the bills yet). We are hopeful Matthew will be released to come home within the next 10 days. At that point he will continue with outpatient care for rehabilitation. Julie and I are still a bit gun shy about having 6 consecutive good days in a row, but we are so grateful to have our baby boy back.
