Day 5: On every fifth day on my count to Christmas day, Im going to post a Christmas carol. However, I dont mean just Christmas carols at random- I mean carols that I find very special and truly capture the spirit of the season. This one is one of my favorites because its vocals are so powerful in combination with the beautifully simple words. The song doesnt even need any music. When I first heard it, it put me in awe. (Its actually bit hard to describe how I felt, but maybe youll understand when you hear it, too.) Its almost haunting, and gives a feeling of walking alone on a dark, cold, clear winters night. (It has also got quite a history, too, but instead of being overly descriptive, Ill leave you to discover it for yourselves.) (P.S.: This video and others that I have posted so far I claim no ownership for-Im not trying to steal anyones property and claim it. I mean no harm; I just want to share what Ive heard with others.)
