Day 5 of being sick. TMI warning. The ice caps of mucus that had taken up residence in my skull have begun to melt and break free. They are now colliding into each other in my skull and wreaking havoc. Great tendrils of thick green and yellow snot are migrating out of my skull as if Lovecraftian tentacles are being shoved through my sinus passages. In other words, Im fairly sure Cthulu is giving me the finger... right through the brain stem. All of this is leading to me coughing up unspeakable nastiness that makes the split pea soup the kid launched in The Exorcist look tasty. Blowing my nose all the time, which is the only time that having a beard is a questionable life choice. I feel kind of like Newt in Aliens when Ripley finds her covered in Alien secretions and sweat. Yuck. Ears ringing, sore throat, sore nose, sore face, etc... (whining continues for a while.) I know this is the great turning point and the stage where I know that I am getting better, but I hate this part. On the bright side, I can think more clearly as my brain isnt trying to function through as thick of a layer of slime akin to Bill Murray in Ghostbusters.
