Day 6 of my 7 day challenge - not fair since I just left POLO at Whitney and saw so many people I just LOVE - but I already expressed my gratitude for GREAT friends I m always happy and LOVE to see - so let me think.....1) I am grateful I was born in America to the parents I was born to in the country setting of Old Westbury & Muttontown on Long Island - and that I was born in a time where I could be safe and free to PLAY outside all day - ride bikes with no helmet - be held accountable for my actions - ride ponies unsupervised with my big brother - play lawn darts - have bb guns - run wild and explorative from dawn to dusk in the neighboring Woods and just be a KID,,,,,,2) I am grateful for my brother I adored and my sister I love - I lost my brother too long ago but have a great friendship with my sister that I cherish 3) I am grateful for my Mother who taught me the most basic tools of manners - grace and presence that is lost to the current generation now - and that as she ages in a strange manner she lives with my sister (henceforth called Saint Becky) since I cannot fathom what dementia does to a person and my patience is not ready for a total reversal of all she had once taught me.
