Day 82 of AD 2014, #WordFromCurtis is... ZION NOT SINAI, LIBERTY NOT FEAR! v.18 For u hv not come to wht may be touched, a blazing fire, & gloom, & darkness, & tempest... v.21 Indeed, so terrifying ws d sight dat Moses said, I tremble with fear. v.22 But u hv come to Mount Zion & to d city of the Living God, d heavenly Jerusalem, & to innumerable angels in festal gathering.... - Hebrews 12:18-24 (READ) Since d fall in Eden Yahweh lived apart, frm d dwellings of men. It took special rituals performed by specially called & ordained MEN OF GOD jst to seek Gods presence; & each time d presence manifested, it ws a TERROR! *d many rules wer cumbersome *d noise ws overwhelmingly usual *d tremors, cloud & smoke wer so frightening *evn animals who offended wer not spared (v. 20) THAT SHOWED HOW FAR FROM THE LORD WE WERE. -Later, Yahweh instituted wht I refer to as Containment Worship whr Gods presence ws represented by d Ark, kept in d Holy of Holies away frm d populace so WE cud get a little closer dan b4 w/out fearing, yet, only a privileged few had access d WHOLE PRESENCE OF GOD. Evn dey, faced death for violation. So, it ws ALL FEAR, FEAR & FEAR! But with Christs coming things changed! *d veil was torn at his death *d presence left Earth into Heaven *d presence returned on Pentecost to dwell in us Whn we meet as a church, d collective presence is super-charged but unto LIBERTY. No more fear, cos we carry d presence in us! Enjoy d word, music, dance & prayer in the gathering of the saints to get urs supercharged. Alleluia!
