Day 87 (late) of my 100 days of happiness challenge. I’m taking - TopicsExpress

Day 87 (late) of my 100 days of happiness challenge. I’m taking the time to show my appreciation for the good things that made me happy today. Today’s thought for me to ponder: “If you go to work on your goals, your goals will go to work on you. If you go to work on your plan, your plan will go to work on you. Whatever good things we build end up building us.” Jim Rohn ************************* I’m happy that The UCF Football Watch Party I’ve been working on was a great success. Many more showed up than I would have ever expected. It overwhelmed the staff but we made it through it. Sad that my #Knights lost but it was a great game and hopefully the team will be stronger from the lessons learned here. Thank you to all that showed up and had fun at 7:30 am to watch a football game. Next up the Watch Party for the game on September 13 vs. Missouri, noon. I’m happy that I am spending this wonderful weekend with Jacqui. She is always there to support me even if it’s hanging flags at 7:15 in the morning on her day off. Look for 2 waterlogged people in our Spool for the rest of the weekend. I’m happy that we have Echo the Red Tail bird (Amazon Grey) in our lives. He was so happy with his new outdoor bath in his cage. Splashing and whistling away. He is so smart and so protective of me. It’s amazing how animals can sense when something is not right. I have a hurt shoulder and will be getting surgery in January. Now I wear 2 braces; one with ice and one for support. When I had the ice one on over my shirt he kept flying to me and tried to rip it off of me. He thinks it’s hurting me. I switched to the support one under my shirt. He still flew over and tugged at my shirt trying to get to it even though he could not see it. Someday ask Jacqui about her mother’s dog jumping on her until she bruised and she had to go to the doctor and at the doctor found out she had breast cancer. A lifesaving animal. (She has been cancer free for 10+ years now.) I’m happy that at dinner I met a young server at Smokey Bones. Of course I had to interview her (Jacqui hates this) to see what’s up in her life. She’s a UCF student so I was excited. In the end, she is joining the UCF Alumni Association, Boosters, and getting information from me about meeting mentors, internships and finding financial aid. I’m happy that I got to serve another person and feel like I still have purpose and am continuing my mission to: “Change the World one student at a time.” Have a Blessed night. How are you changing the World tomorrow?
