Dealing with the Dovers Saddlery brick and mortar store in Crofton is too often a frustrating experience. Todays short version: I called, asked for what I needed, was detailed and clear about whether they price-matched their own web site, which has been a question in the past. Was told they absolutely did, and that I merely needed to mention when I came in and theyd look it up to affirm. Reality: struggle, struggle, struggle with the apparent manager, took more time than it should have (my merchandise was waiting with my name on it), was told they had no capability to look up their own web site (Really? With every human but me with a smart phone?) and too much explanation about them being three corporate entities, not accepting online coupons, though you can use them to order online, etc., etc. In the end my protestations saved me the gas money for the one hour drive up, but cost me (again) the trust in any of their three corporate entities. Yes,, I called Gayers first, but they were closed.
