Dear Andy McKee, I wanted to tell you that your music has had a profound, positive impact on my life. Around this time last year, my father died of cancer and life was very hard for me. During this rough time, I heard your song drifting, which captured my attention musically, emotionally, and spiritually. Over the summer I spent many hours learning to play drifting, which introduced me to a whole new world of guitar playing. It was inspirational. As i have progressed in playing drifting, I have chosen to play on a beautiful 12 sting guitar once owned by a great man, Walking Jim Stoltz. When I play drifting on his guitar, I imagine Walking Jim and my dad standing side by side in heaven, much like each set of strings stand side by side on a 12 string guitar. Last night, I played your song drifting at my high school talent show and won first place. I thought Id share my story and this video with you to let you know how powerful your music really is. I want to thank you for writing drifting and posting it on YouTube; it was the best video I ever came across. I hope one day I will be fortunate enough to attend one of your concerts and maybe even get to meet you! Sincerely, Luke Rollie Rogers Fairbanks, Alaska
