Dear Buddhists (for non buddhists; if you choose to read this; please kindly do not quote or misquote or takes this out of proportion or out of context as buddhism is to be practised in wholistically and not just this one sutta or one dhamm sharing one dhamma talk only). Just this morning in my dhamma sharing with some devotees who drops into Isivana Vipassana Hermitage impromptu; i was explaining about all the 31 realms of existence in Samsaric existence. I also explained that only in the human realm (Manussa); that human beings are presented with the opportunities to do good; to help others; human or animals. Citing some examples (not exclusive); human beings can help the poor, can donate to the beggars, the underprivilleged or the poverty stricken and the less fortunate. Beings in any other realms; even beings in the heavenly realms are incapacitated to do these as there is no one in heaven to be helped and beings in the heavenly realm are also incapacitated to perform any more good/merits. While beings in the 4 woeful realms of Niraya, Tiracchana, Petas & Asuras ; for sure are incapacitated to perform any good as all the 4 realms are beings living in constant dukkha. So; please do not wait for too long to start cultivating your minds as beings in the human realm is the most conducive ( a fair amount of Sukha, Dukkha and neither Sukha nor Dukkha states, conditions) for the performance of Sila, Dana & Bhavana as stipulated and taught by our master; the Buddha in the Noble 8fold path.
