Dear Carol Shafran Young: I once again need to thank you for the gift you gave to me and my fellow young widows on this day when the towers came down. While I understand you and Lauren didnt anticipate launching on this day, the events made it strikingly clear that we needed the forum, and we needed each other, and we needed to be there for the thousands of suddenly widowed people, and all those who would come after. I am so grateful for the site. It saved my sanity, but more importantly, brought me hundreds of dear friends (including you!), and I cannot image my life without them. To the rest of my friends: If someone you know is now or becomes a young widow, please suggest they visit ywbb.org. Its the original discussion board for widow/ers, and in my opinion, even with the online trolls who show up and cause trouble, still the best.
