Dear Class of 2014, I know some of you have not heard from me - TopicsExpress

Dear Class of 2014, I know some of you have not heard from me in a long time and some of you dont even know who I am, but my name is Will Kuhn, I am 22 and I am one of your fellow classmates and I am doing some amazing things here at Ball State and I can’t believe I’m a senior already. I’m ready for the real world and can’t wait for what’s next. So before I leave Ball State, I wanted to do something that would leave my mark, which would help me become a better person and to help someone that is in a worse situation that I am. So this year I decided to join Ball States Dance Marathon. So I am writing to tell you about Ball State University Dance Marathon. It is Ball State’s largest philanthropy on campus, and I have decided to get involved by becoming a Fundraising committee member and a dancer this year. BSUDM supports the Children’s Miracle Network at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Our dance marathon event will be held on February 22, 2014. Throughout the year, Dance Marathon hosts fundraisers, events, and activities. We raise money, and spend time getting to know our Riley kids and families. Last year, Dance Marathon had 1,316 registered dancers. On February 22nd, I will be dancing for 12 hours for the kids who can’t with over 1,000 other Ball State students who have made the same pledge to change the lives of so many children and their families. BSUDM is showing tremendous growth. In 2010, we raised $16,290, in 2011 we raised $39,220, in 2012 we raised $87,628 all for the kids, and in 2013 we raised $196,228.20. This year will be our sixth annual Dance Marathon. We have goals in mind that we cannot fulfill without your help. We aim to top our total from last year of $196,000, and I hope to reach my personal goal of $7,000. Dance Marathon is a great cause and I am thrilled to be involved with it this year. I would love for you to be a part of my success, and would greatly appreciate any amount of money that you could spare. A dollar can go a long way, as I have known my entire life, after being the GoodWill Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Any and all donations that you make are for the kids at Riley Hospital. More specifically, the money BSUDM raises fully funds the Magic Castle Cart and funds a new program that is just beginning, Palliative Care. If you would like to donate, I have a personal fundraising page online and you can find it at donate.rileykids.org/site/TR/DanceMarathon/DanceMarathons?px=1292176&pg=personal&fr_id=1141 and then just click Donate Now, or If you feel more comfortable sending a check, you can make it out to BSU Dance Marathon. You can send checks or money to me at my address: 121 Baker Hall, 2000 W. University Ave. Muncie, IN, 47306 Thank you for your time, consideration, and support. It is truly appreciated. We are changing the world. Sincerely, Will Kuhn
