Dear Family and Friends, We, Debbie (Chriss wife) Nathan and - TopicsExpress

Dear Family and Friends, We, Debbie (Chriss wife) Nathan and Eric (Chriss sons), would like to reach out to Chriss Facebook friends to keep you updated on his health. As we are sure you are aware, our lives drastically changed in August when Chriss behavior began to change quickly. He was beginning to behave in ways that were very different from the Chris we all know. He was beginning to talk of depression and so we got him help for his feelings. His erratic behaviors led him to losing his job and affecting many friendships. We would like to apologize on his behalf to anyone he may have hurt along the way. Throughout this time, Chris spent time in behavioral health at Mercy to help him control his behaviors. In October, Chris took off to Nashville without anyone knowing. During this time, he suffered a minor heart attack. He had a stent put into one of his arteries and was taking medication to help the other arteries. This time in the hospital helped us begin the journey to his final diagnosis - frontotemporal dementia. As difficult as things have been, this diagnosis has helped us to better understand his behaviors were not intentional. Chris has not been the same person we once knew since his behaviors began to change. Recently, his behaviors have taken the best of him and it has been very difficult leaving him by himself without any supervision. Because of this and through doctors orders, we have begun taking measures to place him in a permanent residence where he will be cared for and under 24 hour supervision. We would like to reach out to each and everyone one of you who have helped us through this difficult time. Thank you so much for all of your love and support. Please continue to pray for Chris and our family, that we can help get him the best care possible. We will not be able to continuously monitor this account so if you need to reach out to us for any reason, we ask that you use the following email. This will help avoid the many phone calls and phone conversations. You may contact us at nathancotter18@gmail. Thank you again and please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you, Debbie, Nathan, and Eric
