Dear Fellow Republicans, I am very saddened to report that Dr. Carl Heinrich’s wife Shirley passed away last Monday from injuries she received after a fall this past weekend. The following is from the Daily Nonpareil, Shirley A. Heinrich “Shirley A. Heinrich, age 81, of Council Bluffs, passed away November 10, 2014, at the Nebraska Medical Center. She was born in Moran, Kan., on March 5, 1933, to the late Dee A. and Louise (Manning) Doughty. She attended college at Kansas State University. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church, PEO and Daughters of the American Revolution. Shirley is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carl Heinrich; sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Christina Heinrich, Mark and Debbie Heinrich, David and Celinda Heinrich, Jon and AnnaLee Heinrich; sister, Dona Bausch; nephew, Daron Bausch; niece, Dawn Renn and her husband, Walter; 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Visitation is Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Celebration of her life is Friday, 11 a.m., at Broadway United Methodist Church. Memorials are suggested to Broadway United Methodist Church or the Iowa Western Community College Foundation.” We offer our sincere condolences to the Heinrich family at this time. -Jeff Jorgensen-
