Dear Friends, I cannot go into much detail because of security - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends, I cannot go into much detail because of security concerns, but I am asking that you fervently pray for our staff and brethren in Africa who, in recent days and weeks, have been experiencing persecution and even torture. The message from our staff in this country ended with these words: "I would like to inform you that the work will continue. Thank you for your prayers and your care for me and my family, as I hope you keep praying for me and for the church of believers here." Today I am reading and trusting in the words found in 2 Corinthians: "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed…THEREFORE, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal" (2 Cor. 4:8-9, 16-18). So today we pray and fix our eyes on that which is unseen and eternal. Pray for these dear brothers and sisters. Please help meet their immediate material needs as well by donating to our Emergency Relief Fund. The work will continue.
