Dear Members, The world seems full of people who have things happen to them that prevent them from living their dreams. They werent born pretty enough, Rich enough Thin enough and Smart enough and on and on and on. These are the same folks who stare blankly in amazement of someone because they cannot understand in their own minds how someone who has spent his entire life in a wheelchair, suffering from Osteogenesis Imperfecta, manages to not only survive but happily thrive. Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) Day also known as Wishbone Day is an international community awareness effort officially celebrated on the 6th May each year. Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a genetic disorder characterized by fragile bones that break easily. It is also known as “brittle bone disease.” A person is born with this disorder and is affected throughout his or her life time.
