Dear Mr Christian Ntuli The Playhouse Company, in - TopicsExpress

Dear Mr Christian Ntuli The Playhouse Company, in conjunction with the Democracy Development Programme invites you to participate in a dialogue on: "Work and family life in the 21st century." We want to hear your voice as we explore women’s experience of life in the 21st century. The feminist and human rights movements have made great strides in increasing women’s access to the workplace and the recognition of women as valuable contributors to society. At the same time, women are still perceived as primary care-givers to their children, nurturers and supporters for the men in their lives, and faithful and caring children to their parents. Census 2011 revealed that women do 253 hours of unpaid work per week, while men do only 102 hours of unpaid work per week. We want to hear from You: Have domestic roles shifted in order for equality in the home to keep pace with gender equality in public life? How do women find the balance between work and family life? How do men find balance between their work and home lives? Have the increased financial contributions of woman changed that dynamics of family life? Details of the Dialogue Date 10 August 2013 Venue Grand Foyer of the Playhouse Theatre. Time 12h00-14h00. Anyone who wanna attend plz tell me because I might not be able to attend.
