Dear Scots of all walks life, male, female, old and young alike including those who have been deceptively driven to vote No; I wish you all the most productive and happiest 2015. I trust that 2015 shall be excellent Year for Scots. I trust that it will be the year where our sabotaged dream comes true with landsliding victory for SNP- the Champions of our cause. The following article, which is superbly written by one of the Scots greatest souls, is of great significance thus please read it carefully and share with your contacts. We wont be fooled, any longer by Westminster and its Scottish associates such as Jim Murphy and others who are all hell bent to continue with imposing their unjust policies by blatantly denying the reality on the ground about the fact that their policies of last four decades is the underlying reason for the impoverishment of majority, deliberate denigration of the Scots in their own soil in one one of the Wealthiest nations on planet, and for systematically subjugating the Scots whilst they surreptitiously expropriate the nations resources. There shouldnt be any reason that diverts the attention of the Scots any longer. We, Scots have been deceived time and again. Yet the Red Tories are lecturing us with usual lies and obfuscating mantras. We have been denied basic necessities and subjected to ongoing poverty and deprivation under the rule of both Red and Blue Tories. Therefore, there shouldnt be any reason why we Vote for them. Enjoy reading the following excellent piece aforementioned article. Scotland and the Scots shall prevail! Saor Alba!! DN OUR PAST, OUR FUTURE? By Alan N. McPhail , December 28, 2014 Edinburgh may be the capital of Scotland but in my opinion Glasgow is its heart, and always will be. 2014 has been a year of mixed emotions for Scotland and for Glasgow in particular. Like last year my home city was shrouded in mourning for the loss of more of our citizens in tragic circumstances just before Christmas. Glasgow is no stranger to adversity and hardships as we all know. However, the tenacity and caring of its citizens show the world time and again that we never cower or buckle when times are hard or when fate delivers us a lethal blow. The year started off while Glaswegians were still recovering from the shock of the Clutha Bar tragedy in November last year when ten people died. That incident brought home to us all that we dont know what is in store for any of us in this life, because tragedy can strike us down at any time. This sadness was followed by the feeling of hope and anticipation the length and breadth of Scotland for what the forthcoming year would deliver. We had the Commonwealth games in the summer in Glasgow where we showed the world how we could put on a show and do it well. The mendacious Daily Mail said in their typical style how we Scots would boo the English team as they entered the stadium; how wrong they were. Unlike the London Olympics that cost the tax payer £8.92 billion, which is £142 for every man woman and child in the UK, no money from the London exchequer came to Scotland to pay for the commonwealth games. The Scottish government financed them and did it under budget. The underspend was then used to benefit the NHS in Scotland, and that is what you call good financial management by the SNP government. It was in 1314 that Robert de Bruce won Scotlands freedom and independence from the English King Edward II who claimed dominion over Scotland and fealty of its King. That was why the anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn seemed the perfect time for the Scottish people to decide if they wanted to regain their independence and freedom from English rule at the ballot box. The people of Scotland got involved in politics like never before and the mood was buoyant and hopeful for a YES vote victory. I attended rallies in George Square, flew the Saltire from my house and sported a Yes badge on my car and jacket. I wrote many articles in Facebook and letters to newspapers sometimes using a pseudonym to encourage the Yes vote, as did many others. Like so many Scots young and old, I too felt that perhaps we could really do it this time. But sadly, it was not to be. The Fear campaign won over Hope and all those people who had done so much to talk Scotland down and spread fear and doubt in the minds of our people rejoiced that Westminster would still rule over their fellow Scots. How that sickened and angered me. I for one will never forget the part Darling and Brown played in spreading fear and lies throughout Scotland. They were backbench MPs without power or influence but that didnt stop them lying for all they were worth, and promising powers they could not deliver. The Labour Party stood side by side with the Tories, and were happy to do their dirty work in Scotland. Because of that they should never be forgiven, nor their actions forgotten. Red Tories is what they are. The day after the result we had Nazi saluting Unionist thugs waving their Union flags rampaging through George Square, burning Saltires and looking for a fight. That was a sight I will never forget and made me feel ashamed, more so than the actual result. The London based media conveniently ignored it because they had the result they wanted and were not interested in anything else. We will never know if the British state interfered to make sure the No vote won but the evidence and reports of voting irregularities shown on YouTube afterwards left us all wondering. The lowest point for me after the result was the resignation of Alex Salmond as our First Minister. That upset me greatly as Alex has done so much for Scotland throughout his life and I really admired and respected him. A pack of rabid dogs can bring down a lion and that was what happened in Scotland in 2014. Im glad Alex will stand as an MP for Gordon and I just hope the people of Gordon have the good sense to vote for him. You couldnt have a better MP than Alex Salmond. One of the most damning statements during the referendum campaign came from the then branch manager of Labour in Scotland, Johan Lamont. She said on national TV that we Scots were not genetically programmed to make political decisions. For me, that patronising statement reflected how Labour thought of us Scots and why they believed London should continue to rule in Scotland. In May 2015 we get the chance to prove Labour wrong and put into place a huge majority of SNP MPs to speak up for Scotland. Choosing Jim Murphy to replace Lamont as Labours new branch manager shows how little they understand the mood of the Scottish people. Murphy represents everything that is rotten with Labour and how far they have moved away from what Labour used to stand for. Their money grabbing politicians are now indistinguishable from their Tory campaign allies, and like them they have remained ambivalent to the rise of poverty in Scotland during their tenure as Scottish MPs. Soon they will try to fool us into extending their gravy train tenure in Westminster to keep them in a job and supplement their bank balance. We will have to decide whether we do or not. In the past Thatcher called the striking miners and everyone who opposed her, The enemy within. I believe today the new enemy for this Tory led government is the ordinary working class people, the unemployed, the sick, and the poor of this country. They have been made to suffer for the mistakes of the bankers and corporate elite who all the London Parties want to protect. The rich have never had it so good and is why they have fallen over themselves to support the Tory Party. The unelected House of Lords remains as does the same old rotten system of Westminster, and you will be very naive if you think their attitude to Scotland will ever change if the two Party system continues. 2015, can be a new start for Scotland or it can be the start of further decline and increased hardship for many of our people. With the announcement that Scotlands funding is to be cut by £10 billion just as the YES campaign forecast, the need to make the right decision in May is critical. As I said before, you dont know what fate has in store for any of us in this life, but it is crazy to put your faith in those who have failed you and Scotland in the past believing that they might do better next time. That is no way to invest in the welfare of your familys future. Only the SNP offers renewed hope for Scotland now, and if we fail to support them it will be seen as a sign that we Scots dont care what Labour or the Tories impose on us in the future. Finally, I hope all my Facebook friends have a great 2015 devoid of sadness and hardship, and that we all continue to pull together for Scotland to make those who aspire to rule over us realise that Scotland cannot be taken for granted anymore.
