Dear #SwDetroit, URGENT | URGENT | MEETING TOMORROW AT 6 PM WITH COUNCIL PRESIDENT BRENDA JONES | AT ST. PAUL A.M.E. CHURCH, 579 S. RADEMACHER, DETROIT MI | IN REGARDS TO GOV. SNYDERS PROPOSAL OF DETROIT LAND TRANSFER FOR NEW INTERNATIONAL TRADE CROSSING (NITC) Its been a long fight. Some of us have been going to meetings about The New International Trade Crossing (NITC) for over 10 years. And yet, all of our hard work may come to a summit tomorrow as Detroit Council President Brenda Jones is looking to hear from the community about our feelings of what Governor Snyder is proposing for the exchange of Detroit City Land. Shell need this information to make an inform decision with Detroit City Council. Remember, without a legal binding Community Benefits Agreement (CBA), what is likely to happen is all the bridge jobs will end up going to the suburbs, and #SwDetroit will receive no benefit with having to deal with all the construction, and all the extra pollution the NITC will bring. The State of Michigan, and USA is going to profit big time while Canada pays for the bridge, and all were asking is that #SwDetroit be guaranteed some of the jobs. Please spread the word, and please attend TOMORROW!!
