Dear Winthrop Friends, At the town forum tonight on Water/Sewer rates, the Town Manager and his team proudly announced that as of July 1, 2013, the Water/Sewer fund now has a surplus (retained revenue) of $1.1 million dollars. A short nine months ago, we were told the funds were in deficit and so we had to pay more. On November 5th you have a choice to vote for leadership that will lower your water/sewer bills or continue to skyrocket your rates and boast of million dollar surpluses. Take a stand and get involved. Your voice matters.
