Dear facebook, today i was driving and like so much of the time when i drive, weird thoughts wash up into my head. in this particular drive, i wondered a rather peculiar notion: what would recording something on vinyl that would otherwise probably considered noise be like? for instance recording the sound of tv static or the sound storm of certain experienced microphones. would such a sound storm open up to a sphere or nuanced disembodied screams and soaring? or would static just stay static? flat like sandpaper. im not talking about some cheap experiment either. im talking about recording an unhindered source in pure smooth analog. what would it be like? just wondering. #irresponsibledriving
