Dear family and friends, I am pleased to announce my new childrens line of clothing and accessories, YellowBug. YellowBug strives to create classically elegant clothes for your little ones while still embracing the whimsy that defines childhood. Simply put, we want to help you cherish your precious darlings childhood. Before I tell you how I came to create YellowBug, let me first tell you some of its past. After 5 years of marriage, 2 failed adoptions, and surviving ovarian cancer-children seemed less and less like a possibility for us. And then, out of nowhere, the Lord gave us our precious Georgia Grace. As soon as I saw that double line, I knew that this baby was a girl, her name was Georgia (we has never discussed that name before), and that she would change our lives forever. After waiting for so many years to become parents, James and I dove head first into parenthood. The Lord quickly blessed us with a buyer for my marketing company, The Social Vista, and I changed my work schedule from 80+ hrs a week down 40 and eventually down to 20. Life quickly changed from staff meetings and client calls to mommie and me and diapers. Just when we got into a new routine, we were shocked (well I was, James says he always knew we were destined for 2) when I became pregnant with our 2nd miracle baby, Henry Dean. Since the second that I discovered that I was expecting Georgia in 2012, I have been obsessed with childrens clothing. I mean, O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D. ( My facebook wall will verify this!) My history in Marketing gave me a very specific idea of what I wanted my babies to be dressed in. And while there is a plethora of gorgeous childrens clothing, I had a hard time finding the highly tailored, classic clothing I loved that still embraced the whimsy of childhood. The birth of Dean increased my struggle ten-fold as beautiful boy clothes are HARD to find. (I know you boy-mamas will agree!) So, I became a woman on a mission that embraced these qualities for childrens clothing for sizes newborn-8/10. A lot of clothing lines put an emphasis on one thing- just one size or style. My goal is to make sure that we can clothe all of your kiddos--not just the babies. So, tonight with this post, we are launching our store and our Facebook page with a small collection from my Fall line. We will be releasing 5 more items in the next 2 weeks, our Thanksgiving line on October 26th, and our Christmas line on November 16th. I hope you love this line as much as I do.
