Dear friends and family, I’m going to be “locked up” in one week and I need your help to raise bail. It’s not what you think – I’m not going to jail. I’m going to be “locked up” for MDA. The MDA holds Lock-Up events because people affected by muscle disease often experience decreased mobility, which can limit freedom and independence, when their muscles stop working. As a Lock-Up participant, I’m “locked up” for one hour, but for the MDA family members, the loss of mobility is for life. The bail money I’m raising helps MDA in its quest to keep muscle working, to restore mobility and, in turn, freedom and independence.
