Dear group members, This Group page was initially set up for a very specific reason, which is to establish a Facebook presence for the Citroën Car Club of SA, which is an actual (long established) and active club, with registered and paid-up members. The objective was to give us - especially those of us in outlying areas that cannot always physically join the club activities - the opportunity to keep updated, stay in contact and share our love for Citroën cars. When other Citroën lovers applied to join, we welcomed them in, as a friend of Cits is a friend of ours. I have, however, been receiving concerns from Club members that the Group page is not fulfilling the purpose for which it was created, as it was never intended to discuss anything but Club matters and share knowledge on our cars, most of which are classic Citroëns (i.e. pre-1985, most older), although many - I included - drive newer Citroëns as everyday transport. Not wishing to take anything away from any Citroën fan, I want to respectfully suggest that we split this page; keep this for members of the actual Club, and create a new South African Citroën Fans page for general discussion, and open up membership of that to all, asking everyone who are on this list but not CCCSA members to move over to the other forum (or contact Joyce Le Roux to become a CCCSA member and stay on here - even better! ;-) ) I would appreciate your views and comments on the above suggestion.
