Dear guys, I agree with you that women (wives) can be very petty and exasperating, stretching your patience to its very limits. Having said that I believe one of the most important qualities a man absolutely MUST have is maturity – the mental and emotional stability to keep calm regardless of negative stimulus, the spiritual capacity which allows him override his emotions and focus on what God will have him do in the face of provocative actions/speech from his spouse, the presence of mind and strength of character to NEVER be pushed to violence! Gentlemen, when you throw tantrums like a toddler denied of his toys and/or physically assault your wife (shoving, shaking etc If you as much as touch her while angry it qualifies) it is not really about how annoying your wife is being: it is an indication that you need fixing! Clearly, among other possibilities, you need patience, possibly your ego is overgrown, you likely lack respect for your wife and there’s a violent streak in you that needs to be stamped out before it consumes you in an untameable conflagration! I assure you that the healthier your relationship with God gets the healthier your other relationships will get and if your relationship with God allows you to terrorize your wife then I’m afraid you’re worshipping not Him but your actual god - yourself!
