Dear teachers of BC, please do yourselves, this province and country a service by standing tall against the bullying tactics of our provincial Liberals. Public education does not directly generate revenue nor do you rub elbows with the corporate world. In the eyes of our beloved leader Christy - you and our children are a giant ass drag on the ticket. The monetary system sucks ass but it is made worse by the asinine priority system set forth by this current regime of nitwits. In the end our kids will hopefully benefit from your courage as you will too. Im willing to bet you have the majority of public support on this one. Justice Griffin ruled against the BC Liberals and found them guilty of illegally tearing up a legally-binding, negotiated contract which talked about class size and composition. The Liberals were also found to have negotiated in bad faith, having goaded you gals and guys into a strike position. If you guys accept the current offer on the table (an offer that does not have any class size or composition guarantees), then the Griffin ruling will be seen as null and void. In other words, a negotiated agreement will be viewed as the most present and legal contract moving forward. Because the ruling is currently under appeal, the Liberals have been able to avoid re-instating the classroom size and composition language into the present contract.
