Our Warriors exhibited exemplary fighting spirit to serve the poor, weak, and needy. Hats off Warriors! You are the best. My appreciation and gratitude to each one of you. Service to man is service to God - Wockhardt Foundation philosophy. Let us now look at the work done in September 2013: (HSP = Humanity Service Points) • 1) MOBILE 1000 Our flagship Programme aims at the roll out of 1000 Mobile Health vans in rural India providing free primary healthcare to 25 million Indians. We aim to achieve this by June 2017. In the month of September our 497 Mobile 1000 Vans administered free primary healthcare at the door step to 9,43,424 patients. Our 13 Mobile 1000 eye vans across India played a critical role in preventing avoidable blindness by: » Visual screenings – 7,030 » Cataracts facilitated – 794 » Spectacles distributed – 257 HSP – 8,081 patients WEB - mobile1000eye.org • 3) MOBILE 1000 urban Our 5 urban primary health care vans administered free primary health care to 6,782 patients. HSP – 6,782 patients WEB - mobile1000urban.org • 4) HIV/AIDS (WHARF) The WHARF programme aims to tackle the menace of HIV. In September, we distributed nutritional supplements to 1529 HIV positive children so as to improve their immunity against the virus. HSP – 45,870 children times benefitted WEB - wharf.in • 5) SHUDHU water purification tablet Through SHUDHU water purification tablet, we provide safe drinking water. Shudhu kills bacteria, virus, & pathogens & prevents hepatitis, typhoid, cholera, gastroenteritis, polio, giardisis, diarrhea, & dysentery. We distributed 69,030 water purifying tablets and purified 1,380,600 liters. HSP – 276,120 people times benefitted WEB - shudhu.org • 6) KHEL KHEL MEIN Our 14 Khel Khel Mein Toy Libraries covering 346 children addressed a missing link in primary education through the inculcation of values and good habits through fun and play. HSP – 5,522 children times benefitted WEB - khelkhelmein.org • 7) THE WORLD PEACEKEEPERS MOVEMENT Wockhardt Foundation supports the efforts of The World Peacekeepers Movement to spread world peace. As at September 30th 2013, there were 7,57,875 Peacekeepers registered on Facebook.
