Dearly beloved, God has called us to carry out His divine purpose and given each one of us a race to run. He uses His servants in different ways to bring glory to Him and fulfil His plan. He never uses any two servants in the same way. Though He gives the same gift to both, He uses it in different ways and performs different deeds. Even if the two are from the same family, He uses them in different ways to fulfil His plan and will. What was the race set for Apostle Paul? The Lord Jesus told him, “To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me” (Acts 26:18). God called him to open the eyes of those who were bound by the wicked satan and bring them into light. What was the work given to the disciples by the Lord? The Scripture reveals, “When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick” (Luke 9:1, 2). Yes! God used His disciples mightily in their election. But satan blinds the eyes of those who have received this election and makes them forget their calling. Therefore, we must always watch and pray and constantly meditate upon the Word of God. Apostle Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). Likewise, let us fix our eyes on the Lord Jesus, throw aside all worldly hindrances and accomplish the God-given task (Hebrews 12:1). Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, I will be glad and rejoice in You. I will declare Your praises. Reveal Your purpose for my life. Speak to me and enable me to know Your will in my life. Set me apart for Your work. Use me as an instrument to carry Your name before all people. Use me for Your glory. Help me to accomplish the entrusted task. Perform mighty deeds in my life. Fulfil Your divine plan and will through my life. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen. ----
