Dearly beloved, blessed are all those who know the glory of waiting for the Lord. The Bible states, “Blessed are all who wait for him” (Isaiah 30:18). However, only a very few realize this and cling on to the presence of God in their daily life. When you read Luke 10:39,42, you can see Mary, the sister of Martha, receiving a good testimony from the Lord – "Martha, Martha…you are worried and upset about many things…Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." Yes, Mary put into practice her knowledge about waiting in the presence of God and received the good part in her life. The Bible encourages, “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD” (Psalm 27:14, 31:24). David loved the Lord very much. He always thanked and praised Him. Once when he encountered a big problem in his life, he was deeply troubled. Then he waited at the feet of the Lord and handed over all his matters into His hands. After that, he was strengthened. God helped him to follow further courses of actions and granted him success (I Samuel 30:6,19). The Scripture says, “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31). The disciples were heartbroken after Lord Jesus Christ rose up from the dead and ascended to heaven. Then they remembered the Lord’s word, "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised” (Acts 1:4). So all of them gathered in one accord and waited in the presence of God. As a result of their prayers, God’s presence and glory descended upon all of them in a day. The Holy Spirit came upon them powerfully as fire and they began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them (Acts 2:4). After that experience, they increased in faith, courage and strength and drew closer to the Lord. They were of great blessing to the people just as how Lord Jesus was and went about doing good. The mind of God filled them. So, dear ones, let us also wait at the feet of God every day in all reverence. The Lord will change us too into blessed people! The Bible says, “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31). Accordingly, those who wait for the Lord trusting in His goodness will receive new strength. They will remain refreshed and strong even amidst their hardships. They will overcome all the obstacles and bear abundant fruit in their lives. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, I wait at your feet with all reverence and hand over all my matters into your hands. I hope in You. May your presence and glory descend upon me. Renew my strength. May I increase in faith and draw closer to You. Change me into a blessed person and grant me success. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen. ----
