(Deb) Tom Carroll has gone back to Tottenham for treatment on an injured ankle ligaments while Niko Kranjcar will also miss tomorrows home game against Derby. Kranjcar picked up a hamstring strain at Wigan in midweek, but should be available sooner than Carroll, who is likely to be missing for several weeks. The Spurs midfielder, 21, is on loan at Loftus Road for the whole season. Those two aside, Harry Redknapp has no further problems for a match that will see the return of his former assistant Steve McClaren – who recently left QPR to take up the reins at Pride Park. Andy Johnson appears to have suffered no ill-effects from his comeback at Wigan and will feature. “AJ can score so he is going to be important to us,” Redknapp said. “I think he should be OK for the weekend. Hell certainly play some part in the game, thats for sure. The QPR boss expects a tough test from the Rams as Rangers look to bounce back from their first defeat of the season at Burnley last Saturday. “Derby will be tough,” Redknapp said. “Theyve got some good young players. I saw the last game they played when Nigel Clough was in charge and Steves taken over a good squad. “Hes a good manager and Im sure hell be there at the end of the year. Derbys a big club with a fantastic set up – the stadium and crowds. Its a Premier League club really. “Its been a tough week for us with two difficult away games, but were in good form, and at home I fancy us against anybody.”
