It is estimated that “704 employees have had the debits reversed, but 591 employees who bank with Santander, Bank of America or Citizens will have to wait” until next week to have this problem resolved. Citing “human error”, instead of their “bi-weekly paychecks … debited” into their bank accounts, the reverse happened. Melissa Arrighi, town manager, promised that “the town is working to reverse it ans expect it to be corrected by Monday.” Arrighi added: “When you do this to employees and you negatively affect their paycheck that they deserve and their entitled to, I know what a hardship that creates and we are sorry for that.”
