●Deception today is no different from the past and no big deal if you’re saved. On the Mount of Olives our Lord warned five times of end-time deception during His discourse with the disciples. If you blindly accept everything and you do not question and search for biblical truth, you must be, will be, and deserve to be deceived. 2 John 1:7 “Many deceivers have gone into the world who do not confess Yeshua the Messiah as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” Revelation 13:14 “And he (Satan) deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which were granted him...” 2 Thessalonians 2:9 “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders.” Matthew 24:4 (Description of end times) “Take heed that no one deceives you, for many will come in My name saying I am the Christ and will deceive many. Verse 11: “Many false prophets will arise and deceive many.” Psalm 119:118 “You reject all those who stray from Your statutes, for their deceit is falsehood.” 2 Timothy 3:13 “Evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5 “In the last days perilous times will come, for men will be lovers of themselves...having a form of godliness but denying its power...From such people turn away.” So, just in these few dramatic verses above, and there are many more, we see a pattern, a very dangerous, deadly pattern! It’s all about end-time deception. If your church is not teaching you about deception and warning you of its danger – be careful of that church! Be careful of any church that does not teach on God’s enemies, who, by default, are your enemies. Revelation 12:9 speaks of the “beast that deceives the whole world.” This is a tribulation verse but do you see that immense power here? We are in a time period of increasing deception - not the other way around. This is the urgent message of the day. It is urgent. It is happening even right now. by Alan Joseph
