Deputy General Manager – Employability Lead (Corporate Social Responsibility ) Experience Required : 8 Years Location : Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Closing Date : 31 October, 2014 Sector : CSR Desired Job Profile The Employability Lead will be responsible for leading the training of 1 million urban and rural marginalized youth in skills that improve their employability and at the same time are relevant to the organizations value chains. To be responsible for driving program efficiencies, training effectiveness, impact measurement, partner development, etc. Tasks and Responsibilities Strategy and policy development: Development of strategy and prospective plans going forward and advising BU teams on execution Annual planning and budgeting for employability Strategic Partners development to achieve scale Identifying additional partnership opportunities for execution of training and fund raising (NGOs, Social businesses, Corporate houses, Foundations, Ministries etc.) Helping draw favorable agreements for long term partnerships Helping BU teams to draw up SOPs for their respective programs Helping BUs to ensure that partners follow the SOPs laid out for performance – including objectives, timelines, deliverables and budgets – laying out specific consequences for achievement or non-achievement of the same. Review partner performance and suggest action plans for improvement Partner capacity building initiatives Strengthen Project Design Review projects for adherence to distinct baselines, defined activities, ‘monitorable’ targets and budgets. In the case of multi-year projects, undertake annual reviews which can form the basis to revise the project. Critically analyse curriculum/ content of various programs with help from program teams and SMEs and ensure alignment with NSDC’s Sector Skills Councils / NVEQF Overseeing Programme Management with BUs Leading the agenda for Bi-monthly reviews with BUs and Quarterly Council Meets Undertaking project monitoring visits and preparing regular field visit reports and encouraging BUs to follow the process Bring program teams together to build alumni networks and platforms for long term engagement Progress Monitoring & Reporting Determining mid-course corrections, providing recommendations for future project designs Holding discussions with the Program and Partner teams on reasons for slippages (if any) and agreeing on a corrective action. Determining and sharing lessons that are emerging and how they can be applied within the project as well as outside. Ensuring updation and assessment of data in the portal - regarding training, fund utilization, placements etc. - regularly and helping BUs take decisions on the basis of the same Impact Measurement Identifying methods for conducting the impact assessment and outcome measurement suited to the context and the size of the project and budgets available. Identifying the skills set required for the impact measurement team and accordingly identifying, selecting and appointing the team. Assisting the team to prepare the methodology for selecting a sample, conducting surveys, focus group discussions collecting information on the identified indicators. Making the provisions for the site visits by the team, involvement of the agency involved during the baseline and needs assessment.
