Dessert show at English Club Sugar, spice and everything that’s nice-was what the English club ‘chat path’ was all about. For two weeks students had a ‘Dessert Show’ in class where they watched each other perform on how they made their special recipes. The first week students watched Miss Seyma make a Bouchon Cake- a scrumptious French recipe . After teaching the student cooking vocabulary like; ‘pour’, ‘stir’, ‘scatter’ and ‘bake’ the cake, students were ready for their own shows the following week. Students came the following week ready to perform their own cake making course in front of the class. With gurgling stomach’s and eager minds students watched and listened attentively. Each student spoke for 10 minutes explaining how they made the cake and what ingredients they used. Towards the end of the lesson the presenter of the dessert shared the dessert with the whole class resulting in both physically and mentally satisfied students.
