Detailed Update on my injury...As of today my surgery is scheduled for Monday @ 1:00 in Johnson City w/ Dr. McCrae. Shes a Foot & Ankle specialist and comes HIGHLY recommended. Luckily I havent been in a lot of pain the past couple of weeks and it looks like they may also be able to fix a calcium deposit on my heel, which has gotten bigger over the years, and was basically putting more pressure on my achilles.... hence making it easier to tear. The good part about that is it wont make my recovery time any longer :) 4 weeks post surgery I can actually start moving it which is awesome! So as long as all goes well, and I dont get an infection on my incision this time (which stalled my recovery on my right achilles this past winter for almost 2 months!!), I should be back on my feet for the most part in about 6-8 weeks (or less). Unfortunately, I will be out of work for a good while, but luckily everythings being covered by workers comp and they have been great to work with! I enjoy my job and miss not being in the Summer Program with my awesome coworkers & kids that I work with. They impact me in such a positive way! However, it will only affect my shows for the next couple of weeks post surgery. After that I can play, sittin down of course. The hardest part of all of this is on Nicole ... Shes more than patient w/ me and is so good to me. I try to do all I can, but not being able to get around w/o crutches makes it tough with a wide open toddler and a newborn! It makes me feel horrible and kinda useless at times, but Ive learned some tricks though...they look pretty funny, haha, but they help some at least. So please continue to keep us in your prayers from time to time. Especially this Monday at 1:00! Thanks SO MUCH yall. It means more to me than you could imagine!!
