Devotional - Acts 9:19-20 Paul has just had a conversion experience where he met Christ himself on the road to Damascus. Saul newly converted had been blinded for a few days due to the supernatural contact with the risen Lord. Paul had not been eating being weakened due to lack of food of course we read “And when he had received meat, he was strengthened.” After having eaten regained his strength!!! I liken this to Spiritual Meat When you are physically hungry you become tired and weak because you Lack (Food) sustenance which is essential for your body to operate effectively. Well our Spiritual Bodies Operate much the same way as our physical bodies do like Paul we must nourish our spirit with the Word of God to make us stronger in spirit. “Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.” Directly after Paul was regained his strength he fellowshipped with the disciples in Damascus notice the scripture doesnt mention anyone else around until the next sentence almost as if he ate alone. Then Paul fellowshipped with other believers likewise we to must take the time to separate and get into our word ourselves to study and show ourselves approve unto God. Having mentioned this he then fellowship with other believers whom most likely encouraged him and Prayed with him but notice he didn’t sit and fill a pew as us modern Christians like to! U know get comfortable go through new members classes and join some ministry etc… I digress though!!! Having been recharged and encouraged the Scriptures goes on to say “Right away, he preached Christ in the synagogues” This is abnormal to modern day Christians but IT SHOULDN’T BE after having been converted and eating the word the by product should be fellowshipping with like minded people and Preaching to the unconverted . Amen!!!
