Devotional No 407 Harvest has come Rev.Chrysantha Tillekeratne (Sri Lanka) …..because the harvest has come. Mk 4:29 “Harvest” refers to saved souls. But this subject is much misunderstood. Many think that the harvest will be some day in the future. Some are not even concerned about it at all. However, a closer look at the above verse of scripture says very plainly that the harvest has come. The fields are ripe. It is already here. Very soon it will be gathered into the barn where the wheat and tares will be separated. Mt 13:30. We do not know when that day will be. But we know for sure that it will certainly come. Since the harvest has already come, we must do our best to increase it. Let us put our whole effort to the propagation of the Gospel. Otherwise, we will have to join the prophet Jeremiah’s lament. The harvest is past, the summer has ended, and we are not saved. Jer 8:20
