Devotional: Seed of Destiny by Pastor Dr. Paul Enenche Sunday, 31 August 2014 THE PORTION OF THE RIGHTEOUS SCRIPTURE: Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Psalms 35:27-28 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Lord is pleased when His people prosper. The first thing you have to note out of the anchor Scripture is that joy is the inheritance of the righteous, not sorrow or a life of depression and frustration. He said, ‘Ask that you may receive, that your joy may be full’ (Jn. 16:24). In other words, ‘I am committed to your joy;’ therefore, anything that is a cause of frustration in your life is cursed to its roots right now, in Jesus Name! Everything causing depression around your life is cursed to its roots right now! Secondly, the Lord is pleased when His people prosper. It is His pleasure to see you succeed and His pain to see you fail. When unbelievers pity you instead of envying you, it pains God. When occultic people are giving you transport money to Church, it brings shame to God because the Lord taketh pleasure in the prosperity of His people. When somebody writes a cheque of one million dollars as an offering for the spread of the gospel, God will say, ‘That is my boy, I taught him how to be loaded.’ He bragged to the devil, ‘Have you seen my servant Job?’ (Job 1:8). Your life will not cause God sorrow, in Jesus Name! Thirdly, God is magnified when His people are successful. It brings glory to His Name when it is said that the best medical doctor in town is a child of God; that the richest man in Nigeria carries the Bible to the boardroom, speaks in tongues and casts out devils; that the owner of the largest aircraft construction company or airline in Nigeria is born again and filled with the Holy Ghost. The days of bringing shame to God are over, in Jesus Name! Remember this: the Lord is pleased when His people prosper. ASSIGNMENTS: 1. Study and meditate on Lev. 26:3-5, 2 Cor. 8:9, Psalm 35:27-28 and Eccl. 2:26 until they sink into your spirit. 2. Learn to move about with the consciousness that you are wealthy and not wretched.
