Did you know: 1. If a teacher receives an effective evaluation - TopicsExpress

Did you know: 1. If a teacher receives an effective evaluation by their school administration based on evaluations yet their school grade is determined to be a C, D, or F(by the state) their evaluation will be changed which could result in that teacher now being labeled not effective. Oh and this will make it so they arent able to get a yearly raise. 2. A teacher who is evaluated by their administrators and given a Not effective rating based on evaluations, but their school is given a letter grade of an A or B, will raise their grade making them effective and then they will be able to get a raise. 3. School letter grades are based on Math, Reading, and Language. How can we take away a science teachers pay because of the school letter grade? 4. Regardless of the school grade, every school has effective teachers that are dedicated to their students, what does eliminating their pay raise and giving them a not effective rating do for them, their morale, and the students they teach? This is why our State Board of Educations system is flawed! Call your representative and voice your opinion to change the A-F system and to Void this years grades. It has already been made state law that this formula must be changed and will not be in effect next year because its flawed. If thats the case then why are they using it this year to put a negative stigma on our schools. If its flawed and proven to be so, scrap it and do whats best for the kids.
