Did you know that Van Halen only had ONE number one hit? Ever?? Its true. That really blew me away actually. This one was released in 1984 off their LP of the same name. You can hear the rolling synth line in this one and it actually became a point of contention between Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth. David didnt want to use synthesizers and wanted a more traditional rock feel to the music. It was kind of the start of the parting of ways for David Lee and Van Halen. I know everyone has their own opinion to who they prefer as the lead singer.. David Lee or Sammy Hagar. Hey... I cant complain. For me, they both bring different styles to the table. Sammy (and I LOVE 3 Lock Box) brought a maturity and seriousness to the group where David Lee was your FUN. Both left an indellible impression on the rock world for Van Halen.. and no matter what I still want to JUMP when I hear them on the radio. Dial goes to the right, loves... its all good! :)
