Did you know that the first computer programmer was Ada Byron? She was a daughter of the famous poet Lord Byron but her mother wanted her to study mathematics, not literature or music. Years later Ada wrote proposals and predictions of the machine’s capabilities, including a description of how it might calculate Bernoulli numbers, which turned out to be the world’s first computer program.
